Travelers today want more in their vacation stays. They want a stylish space that feels better than home - a place they can unwind and of course snap a few insta-worthy selfies.

I recently designed and decorated a huge waterfront home that was purchased as an investment property to use as a short-term rental. It needed a complete makeover (with no renovations) which was great for the budget and turnaround time.
We selected several fun wallpapers and used a vibrant color palette throughout which kept a cohesive feeling and provided a memorable experience for guests. Everyone has commented on the design and decor (in addition to the amenities, cleanliness, location, and hosts responsiveness).
A few tips when choosing furniture and decor:
Keep it simple: the more you have, the more things can break. You're not looking to spend your profits on replacing glasses. Go with acrylic!
Showcase the location: whether it's stocking the cabinets with local treats, or choosing artwork of the surrounding areas, remind your guests why they chose your home and your town.
Quality: If you are renovating, choose durable finishes and invest in the service package for appliances. Be sure you are able to replace items quickly too ~ Amazon and Wayfair are your safest bets for the standards!
Spacious second floor guest bedroom featuring vibrant palm wallpaper, cozy double beds, and elegant decor for a tropical ambiance. Cozy queen bedroom with floral decor and direct access to a private patio, offering a tranquil retreat. Huge open-concept living area seamlessly connects to the pool and outdoor kitchen space, featuring modern decor and ample natural light. One of my favorite spaces - a fun game room adorned with stylish tropical-themed wallpaper, an impressive fish tank, flat screen TV, and pool table, ideal for unwinding and entertaining.
